PATRICIAZAMORSKI

Patricia Zamorski

I was born and raised in Manville as the middle child of a Polish and Hungarian 2nd generation blue-collar working-class family. I attended Catholic elementary school and Manville High School. I am very family-oriented, and my family is important to me.

I started working when I was 16. It wasn't until I began to pursue my passion for politics that I went to work for the Borough of Manville. I proudly served the residents of Manville for 28 years in various capacities such as administrative assistant, treasurer, and accounting and payroll. I also worked in the tax assessor's office and the sewer department.

Eventually, I became the deputy Borough Clerk and then the Borough Clerk. When I retired, I was the Municipal Clerk. In 2007, I attended and graduated from Leadership Somerset. This program helped me expand my leadership skills and build new partnerships throughout the county.

I was elected to Borough Council in 2018 and served from 2019 to 2021. While on Council, I chaired the Public Safety Committee where I worked with our first responders. My extensive experience in Municipal Government was beneficial in helping guide me during this time, especially when it came to making decisions on behalf of Manville.

I am active as a community volunteer. I work with the Manville Food Pantry and Christ the Redeemer Parish. I also help lead a yearly back-to-school drive event, participate in Community Clean Up Day, Food Drives, and much more. My community is always at the forefront of my mind, and I always want what's best for Manville.

Politically, I am active with the Manville Democrats where I am Vice Chair, and I serve as Municipal Committee Woman for District 4. I work supporting our campaigns, community events, and voter engagement. I believe everyone eligible should vote and I work hard to encourage residents to register and vote whether in person or via mail. I am also a member of the Somerset County Federation of Democratic Women and a recipient of the Eleanor Roosevelt Volunteer Service Award.

As a Manville resident, I understand the issues of property taxes and safety for our residents. I look forward to using my knowledge of municipal government to assist all of our Borough residents.
